Gustavo R, better known as “DJVPO” started his DJ career back in 2004 in Chicago, Illinois.
What made him become a DJ and his love for the music was that his close friends had been DJ’s Sonidero’s.
Sonidero means a disc jockey or entertainer who plays recorded music in public, mainly Cumbia, Salsa, and other subgenres. DJVPO loved how music was mixed and how they would put people on the dance floor, DJVPO at a young age, started saving up to buy DJ equipment and all the necessary stuff to mix music.

DJVPO loved listening to radio DJs who mix music live. At a young age, DJVPO started DJing at private parties and soon moved to nightclubs. In 2009, DJVPO moved to Las Vegas, Nevada. Las Vegas opened up lots of opportunities for DJVPO. His way of mixing and producing his own beats or music gave him the chance to open up for major artists like Don Omar, Aniceto Molina, Inspector, Karol G, J Balvin, and many others. DJVPO was also a resident DJ for top major Latin nightclubs in the city of Las Vegas, like The Mayan Nightclub, The V Bar at the Venitian Hotel and Casino, Cathouse at Luxor Casino, Crown Nightclub, and La Jolla Nightclub. DJVPO is also a music producer.
